Disappearance of Young Woman in Poza Rica Provokes Outrage

In Poza Rica, Veracruz, a young woman identified as Alin Isaday was intercepted by an armed group on Sunday, March 16, in the afternoon. The mother of the young woman was participating in the activities of the collective Relatives in Search at that time, reported Maricel Torres Melo, a representative of the mentioned collective in the region. Torres Melo lamented that the deprivation of liberty of Alin occurred while her mother was collaborating with the group.

According to the statements of Maricel Torres Melo, unknown individuals took Alin Isaday when she was in the center of Poza Rica. The family of the young woman has expressed their concern, as Alin Isaday had previously participated in search efforts in the area. Specifically, Alin and her family were searching for her brother Osiel Virgilio, who has been missing in Poza Rica since 2020.

The State Commission for the Search of Persons in Veracruz has issued a search bulletin for Alin Isaday, requesting the collaboration of citizens to locate her. Alin Isaday's family is waiting for the authorities to take action and achieve concrete results in the search for the young woman. Torres Melo pointed out that, despite the anguish they are experiencing, they maintain faith and hope that Alin will return safely.

It is important to highlight that the disappearance of Alin Isaday occurs in a context of violence against those searching for missing persons in Poza Rica. Recently, the population has been shaken by the murder of Magdaleno Pérez Santes, the father of Magdaleno Pérez Vargas, who has been missing for some time. The uncertain whereabouts of Héctor Aparicio, another searcher, also generates concern in the community.

The collective Relatives in Search María Herrera Poza Rica has recently suffered three serious criminal situations, which has caused dismay and harm among its members. Maricel Torres Melo described the collective as a family united by the pain of having loved ones who are missing and expressed that each member is welcomed with love and support in this solidarity group.
